"I’m brown and extremely happy about it” – says Suhana Khan in a post revealing she was called ‘ugly’ since age 12

Suhana Khan, daughter of superstar Shah Rukh Khan and entrepreneur Gauri Khan, has taken to Instagram to highlight an important message on the obsession with fair skin. She revealed that because of her skin colour, she was called ugly since the age of 12.

"I’m brown and extremely happy about it” – says Suhana Khan in a post revealing she was called ‘ugly’ since age 12

In her Instagram post, Suhana wrote, “There’s a lot going on right now and this is one of the issues we need to fix!! this isn’t just about me, it’s about every young girl/boy who has grown up feeling inferior for absolutely no reason. Here are just a few of the comments made about my appearance. I’ve been told I’m ugly because of my skin tone, by full-grown men and women, since I was 12 years old.”

“Other than the fact that these are actual adults, what’s sad is that we are all Indian, which automatically makes us brown - yes we come in different shades but no matter how much you try to distance yourself from the melanin, you just can’t. Hating on your own people just means that you are painfully insecure,” she further wrote.

She said, “I’m sorry if social media, Indian matchmaking or even your own families have convinced you, that if you’re not 5”7 and fair you’re not beautiful. I hope it helps to know that I’m 5”3 and brown and I am extremely happy about it and you should be too. #endcolourism.”

EXCLUSIVE: Meet Bigg Boss 14’s contestant and singer Kumar Sanu's son, Jaan Kumar Sanu

For the first time in the history of Bigg Boss, a contestant was introduced virtually almost two weeks before the grand premiere. Since the show is known to be one of the biggest reality shows of all time, the viewers are always excited to know what they will get to see in this season. During the press conference, Salman Khan gave a virtual tour of the new Bigg Boss house facilitated with all the amenities that we couldn’t put to use this year due to the lockdown. From a spa to a restaurant to a mall and a theatre, the house will have all the amenities all the while maintaining social distancing.

EXCLUSIVE Meet Bigg Boss 14’s contestant and singer Kumar Sanu's son, Jaan Kumar Sanu

Speaking exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, the first contestant of Bigg Boss 14, Jaan Kumar Sanu opened up about his experience of being introduced as the first contestant of the house. When asked about how reluctant he was to say yes to Bigg Boss 14, he said, “Not at all, actually. I have had my apprehensions regarding the show itself but not regarding the COVID-19 situation because the channel has taken care of it in a great manner. They take care of the quarantine, social distancing, and the COVID-19 test, so on that front, I’m not really apprehensive at all. But, the fighting, the controversy, and stuff like that did make me apprehensive.”

Speaking of his initial reaction of being offered the show, Jaan Kumar Sanu said, “I was surprised because I’ve been watching the show for a very long time and I’ve been a fan of the show since the first season. Being a part of the show as a contestant was a little overwhelming and amazing, we discussed it with the family and decided to take up the offer.”

Being the first contestant to be introduced days before the grand premiere has its own perks, Jaan Kumar Sanu got to take a few tips and advice from Sidharth Shukla who won Bigg Boss 13. Speaking of his experience of being introduced as the first contestant, he said, “It was surreal actually, because never in the history of Bigg Boss have they disclosed the contestant before the grand premiere. So, being the first in anything sounds great for all the right reasons. I was ecstatic for being given such a grand introduction and post that I met Salman sir and I got to meet Sidharth. It was really, really amazing.”

Meeting Salman Khan and Sidharth Shukla for the first time, Jaan Kumar Sanu said, “I was actually stupefied when I met Salman sir, I couldn’t get myself to talk for a while. I was nervous and was shivering. I have been a very big fan of Salman sir for a very, very long time. My father has sung a lot of amazing songs for Salman sir but I have never had the opportunity to meet him and this was my first meeting with Salman sir. He is just an overwhelming personality and even his presence on screen was a sight to behold and I was completely in awe of Salman sir because he is such a huge star and an amazing actor. The way he greeted me made me feel so special and I felt really lucky and blessed since I have been trying to meet him for such a long time. Via Bigg Boss I got this opportunity to meet him one-on-one and it was amazing, exciting, and scary because it is Salman Khan we’re talking about! You are bound to get star struck and that is exactly what happened to me.”

Elaborating further on meeting Sidharth Shukla, he said, “I was amazed and very happy to meet Sidharth Shukla actually because I am a very big fan of Sidharth and to get my opening guidance and tips from him – it was a big thing. He gave me some amazing tips and he is very cordial. It was a fun conversation that we had and it was one of the high points of my Bigg Boss journey I’d say.”

We further asked Jaan Kumar Sanu about his strategies before he entered the house and he said, “It’s actually not a strategy that I will be keeping in my mind, it’s actually a part of my personality which Sidharth showed last season and that was just to be yourself. I think being myself is the best bet in the game; you know, Sidharth showed everybody that you don’t have to be double-faced or be involved in gossiping and backbiting. The show can be won on your own merit and without help. That’s the one thing that I love about Sidharth is that he is unapologetically himself whether or not people were standing with him; even his friends stood against him a lot of times but he never diverted himself from what he thought was right and this is something that I personally relate to so I think I’m going to be myself through the show and I’m not going to change.”

Jaan Kumar Sanu happens to be the son of one of the finest singers, Kumar Sanu, so we asked him if he wanted to continue as a singer or expand his horizons and venture into acting. He said, “Honestly, I’ve given my life and soul to music. The only thing that I’ve known is singing; the only thing that I find peace in is singing and the only thing that I want to do in life is sing, so I would like to take my singing much, much ahead and I’m hoping that I will get a lot of good opportunities after Bigg Boss 14 and I’m hoping for a lot of beautiful work.”

With the COVID-19 situation still prevailing, maintaining personal precautions has got to be one of the key highlights for the Bigg Boss 14 contestants. Apart from the precautions that the channel is maintaining, Jaan Kumar Sanu said, “I’m going to be drinking a lot of hot water like I generally do. I’m going to keep fit and try working out every day. I’m going to maintain social distancing and maintain my own hygiene because I have a serious OCD so this time it’s going to be good since the house will be kept clean and it is going to make me really happy. These are the few things that I’m going to be doing.”

How excited are you to see Jaan Kumar Sanu as a contestant on Bigg Boss 14? Be sure to let us know in the comments below.

BTS Week continues with vibrant 'HOME' performance on The Tonight Show; John Cena applauds the group and ARMY

Earlier this week, BTS Week kicked off on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with two stunning performances. The second day consisted of a vibrant set whilst bringing back the 'Home' track from their April 2019 EP 'Map Of The Soul: Persona'.

BTS Week continues with vibrant 'HOME' performance on The Tonight Show; John Cena applauds the group and ARMY

"The performance was pre-recorded in Seoul and the set gave homely and cozy feels. Dressed in pyjamas, shorts and comfy clothing, the seven members of BTS - RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook - were crooning the beautiful song while showcasing their vocals. The whole performance looked like the music video the fans deserved it. The song narrates the story of the septet who call ARMY their home and turn to in any circumstance. The sentiment reflects in the lyrics - 'That place is probably Mi Casa / With you I'mma feel rich (yeah) / That place is no other than Mi Casa /  Turn it on, your switch (switch) Yeah'."

The first in-person guest to attend the show was John Cena who spoke eloquently about the group who he genuinely loves to listen to. Speaking about them, John told Jimmy Fallon, "I first got interested in their music, and then I got interested in what their music stood for."

"How they conduct themselves as human beings and the message they send to the world. Man, that’s something special," he added. "I don’t care how you feel about them, I don’t care if you don’t get it, it’s music, you can like what you like, but how they conduct themselves as human beings and the message they send out to the world? Man, that’s something special."

John Cena further spoke about how BTS donated $1 million to Black Lives Matter and how their fandom BTS ARMY matched the group's donation within 24 hours. "They've developed this global ARMY that's not just geeked-out fans.
BTS donated $1M to Black Lives Matter and the ARMY was like 'if they can do it, we can do it.' As an artist, if we can resonate through the TV to you at home to give to a cause...that's WORK...that's PURPOSE."

BTS topped Billboard Hot 100 chart for two weeks in a row, making them the first Korean act ever to achieve this feat. They reclaimed the No. 1 spot on Monday, September 28 after spending the last weeks on the second position.  The group has created history with 'Dynamite' as debuted at No. 1 on Hot 100, Billboard Global 200, and the second week at No. 1 on Billboard Global Excl. U.S as well. They become the first-ever act to rule all three charts simultaneously.

The group has announced their next studio album titled 'BE (Deluxe Edition)'. Taking to their official platform called Weverse, the statement read, "'BE (Deluxe Edition)' contains the most 'BTS-esque' music yet. The latest story from BTS begins by declaring that 'even in the face of this new normality, our life goes on' and imparts a message of healing to fans and to the world."

'BE (Deluxe Edition)' will drop on Friday, November 20 at 2 pm KST (10:30 am IST).

Taking the center stage, BTS took their disco-pop song to another level with A Capella version while performing with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots. BTS brought a lot of fun elements with their swift choreography along with the old-school outfits with vibrant colours, and slick and permed hairdos. It worked as an introduction slide for the seven members - RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook - adding solo shots along with the names both in English and Korean and amped up a lot of vibrance to the performance.

In another surprise, BTS delivered another power-packed performance going back to the 'Idol' era. The performance was pre-recorded by the members from Seoul. Dressed in modern hanboks, this special act was recorded at the Gyeongbokgung Palace or Gyeongbok Palace of the Joseon dynasty. Built-in 1395, it is located in northern Seoul, South Korea. Flaunting their super crisp choreography along with their strong vocals and rap verses, it brought back a lot of memories from 'Idol' era.
Previously. BTS delivered a spectacular performance of their title track 'ON' from their album 'Map Of The Soul: 7' at the historic Grand Central Station in New York. They visited the famous Katz’s Delicatessen and did their interview in NYC Subway.

BTS first appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in September 2018 and performed two of their songs - 'Idol' and 'I'm Fine' from 'Love Yourself: Answer' album. Jimmy was seen wearing BT21 merch - Chimmy and had a wonderful interaction with the members. They even did the Fortnite Dance Challenge.

'Dynamite' music video broke the Youtube record for most views in the first 24 hours, garnering 101.1 million views. The song has topped the iTunes charts in over 100 countries.

BTS has already announced their virtual concerts set to take place all the way from Seoul on October 10 and 11. The title “MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E” signifies a ONE and only “ONline Edition” concert. For this event, BTS will go beyond showing just virtual performances and bring massive scale to their stages for about two hours of running time. Technological aspects such as 4K resolution, AR and XR will bring viewers more vivid and enhanced contents. Not only will it be more theatrical, but it will also provide “multi-view live streaming” that displays six multi-view screens from which fans can select their favorite one. This marks the latest collaborative effort between Big Hit and Kiswe since “BANG BANG CON The Live”.

Big Hit Entertainment said, "We have prepared never-before-seen stages and various setlists for fans who must have felt disappointed by the cancellation of offline concerts due to COVID-19. Some songs will also be given variations across the two days. We hope you look forward to “BTS MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E”.”

'BE (Deluxe Edition)' will drop on Friday, November 20 at 2 pm KST ( 10:30 am IST).

"It has been an experience of a lifetime," says Aadar Jain, who shot for Hello Charlie during the pandemic

Aadar Jain has wrapped shooting his second film Hello Charlie, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. Aadar’s film was the first one to begin filming in the pandemic in Mumbai, a COVID-19 hotspot, and the producers had taken every measure to ensure safety for the actors and crew on the set. For the actor, shooting a film through pandemic has become ‘an experience of a lifetime’.

It has been an experience of a lifetime!’ : says actor Aadar Jain, who shot for Hello Charlie during the pandemic

He says, “The entire experience of Hello Charlie is one I’ll never forget. The last day of shoot was bittersweet. I was extremely happy and proud to have finally finished shoot but also sad because everyone I worked with had become like family, a home away from home, so it was hard to say goodbye to everyone. After we finished shoot, we all cut a cake and then exchanged a couple of words about our experiences and all the special moments we shared.”

Talking about his experience of shooting right through the pandemic, Aadar says, “Hello Charlie for me has been an experience of a lifetime, one that’s really special because the film itself is so unique and entertaining that every day on the set was a blast. All we did was laugh, have fun and do masti and that’s honestly how the film got made which is very important. This is also my first association with Excel Entertainment and I’m a huge admirer of all that they do, the way they constantly push the envelope with their content and the quality with which they make their films.”

Aadar feels grateful that he was shooting because it kept his mind distracted from the horrors of the pandemic. “Well, it was a great relief and distraction from our everyday worries and stresses given the current situation. But, most importantly, I was happy to go back to doing what I love and the production team made sure the environment we worked in was safe as well,” he says.
