Golden Globes 2021: Rosamund Pike, Dan Levy, Nicole Kidman and more best dressed celebs steal the spotlight

As the 78th edition of the award show took place virtually, some of the best content on TV and cinema were honoured. The Golden Globes 2021 ceremony was held on Sunday night, February 28. Like everything else, the coronavirus pandemic also affected the awards season. The ceremony took place from both Los Angeles and New York, with nominees taking part from locations around the world. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the event from Rainbow Room in New York and Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, respectively.

Here are some Best Dressed moments from virtual and in-person red carpet

MARGOT ROBBIE

Margot Robbie was presenter at the Golden Globes 2021. She was seen wearing a black Chanel dress and she styled it a black Chanel belt. She kept her makeup simple with hair swept on one side.

SARAH HYLAND

Sarah Hyland was seen dressed in a fiery red Monique Huiller gown. She kept her hair open in soft curls cascading down her waist. She accessorized her look with diamond danglers and she looked gorgeous as ever.

DAN LEVY

Dan Levy got lucky at the Golden Globes as Schitt's Creek won Best Comedy Series. He was seen dressed in Maison Valentino. He donned a yellow suit with a glittery shirt and he looked just as handsome.

JOSH O’CONNOR

The Crown’s Josh O' Connor had the best night winning Best Actor for the Netflix series. He was seen dressed in Loewe. He was donning a white shirt with a Victorian collar, a long bow tie paired with white trousers and black blazer. He looked charming as ever.

ROSAMUND PIKE

Golden Globe winner Rosamund Pike looked gorgeous in a romantic, forty number by Molly Goddard. She kept her makeup dewy with a freshly cut bob and she teamed her look with black boots.

AMANDA SEYFRIED

Nominee Amanda looked like a breath of fresh air in a peach gown with a gorgeous, over the top ruffle detail. The backless gown was the highlight and she added the glam with diamond jewelry. She looked beautiful in an Oscar de la Renta creation.

TIFFANY HADDISH

Comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish looked like a golden queen in a tube, deep cut dress with golden hoops and a golden box clutch. She was seen wearing an Alberta Ferreti creation. She flaunted her new hairdo at the red carpet.

LILY COLLINS

Lily Collins looked ethereal in a floral, golden Yves Saint Laurent creation. The one shoulder gown looked absolutely gorgeous; she kept her makeup fresh with statement eyes and wavy hair.

KALEY CUOCO

Kaley Cuoco looked like the queen in white creation with silver embellishments. The tube dress made her shoulders look dainty with her hair left open and dewy makeup. She was also seen dressed in an Oscar de la Renta gown.

GAL GADOT

Gal Gadot looked like an absolute stunner in the white outfit while presenting at the ceremony. She looked like a vision in the white high neck outfit with sheer long sleeves. She kept her makeup simple with a bold red lip and her hair swept on one side. She was seen dressed in Givenchy and Tiffany Co.

NICOLE KIDMAN

Nicole Kidman looked like a million bucks and hot as ever in a halter neck Louis Vuitton creation. She styled her hair in a neat up do with dainty accessories, fresh makeup and a bold red lip.

SOFIA CARSON

Sofia Carson looked amazing in burgundy and peach Giambattista Valli creation. She looked ethereal in the gown with her hair in a princess styled bun, a massive bow on her shoulder and fresh makeup.

Parneeti Chopra is receiving praise for her performance in The Girl On The Train that premiered on February 26 on Netflix. Though the Indian remake received mixed response, the actress is happy to get positive feedback for her role as Mira.

Cosmopolitan India wrote, “The actor shares how being in Bollywood pushed her to start her fitness journey, motivating her to get her best bod ever!”

On the work front, Parineeti Chopra will next star in Sandeep Vanga Reddy’s Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. The film is set for Dussehra 2022 release. Meanwhile, she has two movies scheduled for March 2021 release – Saina Nehwal biopic and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.

Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra was recently seen in The Girl On The Train which was released this 26th February 2021 on Netflix. She is thrilled with the compliments she has been receiving after the release.

On Sunday night, the actress was spotted attending the Planet Marathi Filmfare Awards and her red carpet look was absolutely splendid. She was seen donning a black high neck sequined midi dress by Lakkioui. The dress had a deep cut at the back making it a backless dress.

To complete the look she teamed the outfit with black heels and went for soft smoky with kohl eyes, blushed up cheeks and nude lips she kept her hair all straight and open, she turned heads as she posed for the camera.

On a professional front, Parineeti Chopra will be next seen in Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar alongside Arjun Kapoor and Jaideep Ahlawat. The film releases on 19th March 2021.

“Cannot read, cannot write .. cannot see,” shares Amitabh Bachchan after eye surgery

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan recently underwent a laser eye surgery. He took to his blog where he keeps sharing updates about his personal and professional life, to speak about his condition post-surgery.

“Eye surgeries at this age are delicate and need precision handling .. the best is being done and one hopes all shall be well," he wrote adding that his sight is slowly recovering. He also asked to be excused if there are any typing errors.

Talking about how he has been spending time during recovery, he wrote, "The day passes with nothing to do ..cannot read cannot write .. cannot see .. so just sitting there in oblivion .. eyes shut most of the time and attempted listening to music, which is not a very convincing pastime .. unless of course it is being created .. but that too is ‘out of bounds’ for the moment.”

When news about Amitabh Bachchan's surgery was revealed, he received an overwhelming support from his fans and well-wishers. Expressing gratitude, he said, "Its an emotional moment for me to receive the concern and wishes from all the Ef and the friends around .. I never expect it .. and when it comes its overwhelming .. thank you .. deeply touched .. What would I ever do without the love and affection I get from this grateful caring and loving family.”

When Anil Kapoor almost strangled and killed Rahul Bose while shooting for Dil Dhadakne Do

Anil Kapoor recently shared a scene from the 2015 film Dil Dhadakne Do which starred him, Shefali Shah, Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Anushka Sharma, Rahul Bose and Farhan Akhtar in prominent roles. In the scene the actor shared on Sunday, he revealed he was looking forward to shooting it throughout the filming but only shot at the end.

In the scene Kapoor’s character Kamal Mehra is seen finally taking a stand for his daughter Ayesha played by Priyanka Chopra. The scene had almost all the prominent actors of the film. Sharing the scene, Anil wrote, “Talking about a scene I was looking forward to shooting the most & how it turned out better than I had imagined!”

In the video, Anil revealed that they were to shoot the scene on the cruise but it could not happen. It was shot after the cast returned from the cruise and a similar room was recreated on a set.

In the scene, Kamal Mehra is seen pinning Rahul to the wall after he manhandles his daughter in front of them. "Tera haath ukhed ke rakh doonga (I will rip your hand out)," he is heard saying. During the shoot, Anil took a wire and strangled Rahul. The actor is heard saying that he almost strangled and almost killed Rahul. However, this was not a part of the scene and he had to be stopped and reminded that it was just a shoot.

However, this was not his favourite scene that he was waiting to shoot. It was the scene right after the pinning scene where he apologises to Priyanka's character.

Replying to Anil Kapoor's tweet, Rahul Bose wrote, "Mr K! The only thing you killed was the scene. You killed it, handsome handsome. Had you killed me instead, cinegoers would have rejoiced in the streets! All the best @AnilKapoor" 

Anil further thanked Rahul for his support in the scene and wrote, "Kamal in that moment might have thought of killing Manav for sure but I couldn’t have killed this scene without you!!@RahulBose1 Thank you so much for the support always!!"

John Abraham and Disha Patani start shooting for Ek Villain Returns

Disha Patani has started the shoot for her upcoming film Ek Villain Returns today for which she will be reuiniting with director Mohit Suri once again. John Abraham has also joined the team.

The gorgeous actress had been working hard to stay on top of her prep game for the film as she had been taking lots of workshops and doing regular reading sessions. And now she finally begins the shoot today.

Disha and Mohit will be reuniting after Malang. Now everyone is excited to see what the duo creates this time. Disha Patani also has Radhe all set for release besides Ek Villain 2 this year.
