Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is currently promoting his Netflix film, Choked, virtually. With the lockdown restrictions being lifted slowly, it will be a while before one on one interview will resume. Speaking of Kashyap, the filmmaker recently at length with a daily spoke about his career from wanting to become an actor to how he landed up in Mumbai.
During the conversation, he brought up an incident of meeting Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai when he was still in his assistant days. He had reached SRK’s residence Mannat and used his Delhi connection since both of them studied at Hansraj College. Anurag recalled how he was hungry and walked into his house using his connection. At the time, SRK only knew how to make omelette. The filmmaker said he remembered the actor feeding him.
Coming back to Choked, directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film showcases the daily struggles of a strong-headed middle-class woman balancing work and home, and how life surprises her with an influx of cash, at the most unexpected time and place.
