Zee TV’s popular fiction drama, Qurbaan Hua, has been entertaining its audience with interesting twists and turns in the lives of Neel (Rajveer Singh) and Chahat (Pratibha Ranta) since its inception. In fact, after the entry of Sahil (Sshrey Pareek), the viewers are all set to witness a 5-year leap and our favourite - #NeeHat will be seen in completely new avatars. Chahat, who has never failed to impress the viewers while playing a supportive wife to Neel and a daring daughter to her father, is now all set to win the audience's hearts by playing role of a mother in Qurbaan Hua.
Experimenting with different traits and phases of a character is a part of every actor’s job and while it may sound easy, it isn't a cake walk at all. Not only does a lot go into creating a unique look for the character in each phase of the show, but a lot of effort even goes into fine-tuning the finer details of the character and how the actor presents it on the screen. Pratibha has had quite an interesting and thrilling experience in Qurbaan Hua till now, however, playing a mother on screen is altogether a new ball game.
As Pratibha Ranta who plays the role of Chahat in Qurbaan Hua revealed, “After the five-year leap in the show, I will be playing the role of mother in Qurbaan Hua and I am quite kicked about it. Acting gives us a platform where we can experience different shades and phases of life in one role itself and I consider myself really fortunate to have got this opportunity with my very first show. When I started shooting, I was playing the role of a daughter, which was easy because I had to be myself. After that, Chahat was seen being madly in love with Neel and how she crossed several boundaries for him. Then, I got a chance to play his wife and now, I will be playing the role of a mother. So, it has been quite a journey for me and while it is exciting, I feel it will be challenging too as I have never played a mother’s role till date. I will portray the character basis my imagination and my director's vision. I will even try to incorporate a few bits of my mother’s role in my life, how she has treated me and my family, how she takes care of me and so on. I feel the beauty of a character is enhanced when an artist adds a personal touch to the role. While I have not experienced motherhood, I have had a very empowering and strong woman as my mother and I'll include small nuances of her that I've observed to my role of a mother to play it better on screen and I hope everyone accepts me and loves me in this new avatar.”
