Imran gets House dissolved after dy speaker junks no-trust move
Pakistan's political slow burn over weeks culminated in President Dr Arif Alvi dissolving the National Assembly on Sunday on the recommendation of PM Imran Khan, who swiftly settled for the option of general elections within 90 days after the opposition's no-trust motion against him was no-balled as unconstitutional by the deputy speaker of parliament's Lower House. Earlier, Imran had claimed victory in his fight against the allegedly "foreign conspiracy" to oust his government. Via Times of India https://ift.tt/SnIYK9b
