India bats for use of public stock for international food aid
ndia is pitching for allowing the use of public stock of grains for international food aid and to avert food crisis, especially on a government-to-government basis. The move comes when there is a global shortage of crucial food items, including wheat, with several developing countries such as Egypt flagging food scarcity as a major concern. The anxiety of these countries ahead of next month’s WTO ministerial meeting is sought to be addressed through a package being demanded by them. Via Times of India https://ift.tt/9KFtxUX
