Mob attacks Meghalaya CM’s meet with Garo outfit

A crowd of protesters threw stones in an unexpected attack on the Meghalaya mini-secretariat in Shillong around 6pm Monday when CM Conrad Sangma, along with his cabinet colleague Marcusie Marak, and senior government officials were in the midst of talks with members of a Garo group to address a demand for the declaration of Tura as the state’s winter capital.
