Amitabh Bachchan is honoured as a candle is lit near Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s statue in Poland on Diwali

Amitabh Bachchan and his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan are two of the most known people across the globe for their respective arts. While the late Harivansh Rai Bachchan was one of the finest poets of his time, Amitabh Bachchan happens to be one of the most-looked-upto actors since the last 51 years. With Diwali being celebrated across countries, Poland’s gesture for Diwali has won Amitabh Bachchan’s heart and filled him with pride.

Wroclaw in Poland has a statue of Harivansh Rai Bachchan in bronze. On the occasion of Diwali, a candle was lit near his statue and a few fresh flowers were placed to honour him on the festival of lights. An ecstatic Amitabh Bachchan took to his social media to announce the news and shared a picture of the statue as well. He wrote, “T 3721 - .. they honour Babuji by placing a 'diya' for Deepavali at his statue in Wroclaw , Poland .. an honour a pride ..Folded hands”.
