TXT releases Korean version of 'F2020' expressing the frustration we all have been feeling this year

The year 2020 has been anything from memorable for people around the world and K-pop group Tomorrow X Together is summing it up perfectly in their latest track 'F2020'. The Korean version of Nashville-based Avenue Beat — Sam Backoff, Savana Santos, and Sami Bearden — was released by TXT boys on their Soundcloud channel.

Tomorrow X Together releases Korean version of 'F2020' and it expresses the frustation we all have been feeling this year

After releasing the mini-album 'Blue Hour' over a month ago, the quintet is back with a new cover and original Korean lyrics penned by Yeonjun, Soobin, Huening Kai, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and danke. Since the COVID-19 situation shutdown the showbiz and touring business, K-pop stars TXT has been making music and performing without live audience since March.

Expressing the feeling of restlessness as the seasons passed by since the New Year, the lyrics reflect on the loneliness they've felt over the past few months. It says, "December 31st, that time we / Hugged each other and said Good luck / (Three, two, one, Happy New Year) / We planned together / The promise we made to meet in the next album missed it / It's already the fourth season / The postponed concert / No matter how much we look around, empty audience / Our hearts that became distant without being able to say farewell are vacant / Your voice that called us that we miss / Where are you all?"

The song reflects on how TXT members miss performing in front of their fans (MOA), miss hearing their cheers as the time made things even harder. "Lowkey F2020 / For some reason, no matter what I do, feel lonely / As if time has stopped / I just blanky blame the world." It is something everyone is feeling. The pain of separation from dear ones amid quarantine, the frustration creeping in, and how anxious everything is making you feel!

The song also seems to be a callback to 'We Lost The Summer' where they expressed how life became monotonous and the endless loop of the same routine. Furthermore, TXT says goodbye to 2020 hoping the new year will be better while they try to find their new normal again.

Back in June, Avenue Beat dropped a snippet of their track on TikTok. It went viral that resulted in a full-blown song in July 2020. the trio of musicians that make up posted a snippet of a song they wrote and produced on TikTok.

The fourth-generation K-pop group, Tomorrow X Together aka TXT released their mini-album titled 'minisode1: Blue Hour' on October 26 along with the title track 'Blue Hour'. The B-side track 'We Lost The Summer' music video was unveiled in November.

The quintet closed their album series 'The Dream Chapter' with their last album, 'Eternity'. The album dropped back in May with the title track 'Can't You See Me'. This was followed by a B-side music video, 'PUMA', and the last music video, 'Eternally'. Along with their Japanese release, they dropped their single 'Drama' on August 19.
