John Abraham has always been a strong advocate of preserving the planet and using its resources to a minimum. The actor is known to walk for short distances rather than using his vehicle to lower his carbon footprints. John Abraham has voiced his opinions on preserving nature and avoiding wastage. The actor has supported a cleaner and a greener environment and is seen encouraging those around him to do the same. In his recent press interaction, the actor spoke about major environmental issues and the mentality that most of the people in India carry regarding cleanliness.
John Abraham said that there’s no planet B and we need to make sure that we make sustainability the mantra of our lives. The use of plastic is a major concern these days. He further said that the only silver lining of the COVID crisis has been that we have realized the importance of preserving nature. The environment has gotten better during the COVID-19 lockdown and a lot of depletion has been avoided. He further spoke about how his brother Alan Abraham, an architect, has planned cycling tracks all over Mumbai and is hoping that we adopt a better lifestyle all over the country to make it greener and better.
John Abraham also said that one needs to ensure that people don’t litter around us and don’t harm strays or torture the horses. The actor has made sure that his family and friends adopt similar habits. He further spoke about his experience of seeing a man sitting in a luxury car and littering the place which left him appalled. He said that his parents have always taught him to put garbage in the bin and if there isn’t one around then he should keep it in his pocket and throw it in the bin once he’s home.
John Abraham also addressed the major issue of being obsessed with a lighter skin tone and said that removing terms like fairness, lightening, and brightening makes a huge difference. He says we shouldn’t play with people’s emotions and having the right narrative is important for brands.
On the work front, John Abraham will next be seen in Attack, Satyameva Jayate 2, Mumbai Saga, and Pathan.
