It’s a lesser-known fact that the very talented Neha Marda has a diploma in jewelry designing and has professionally designed jewelry too. While the actress is unable to devote that kind of time now and has a team to manage her clients, Neha occasionally takes out time to pursue this deep passion of hers. But the upcoming track, will let her showcase her alternate talent for which she is very excited.

Sharing her excitement, Neha said “My character is transitioning from a housewife to a jewellery designer which is the most amazing coincidence that could happen. While not many people are aware of it, I pursue jewelry designing in real life too. The moment I read about my character’s profession I literally jumped with excitement and told the director and producer of the show Mr. Arvind Babbal about my hands-on experience with this profession. Frankly, it is an outstanding opportunity to portray this side of my character since I know all the knicks and knacks of this profession. Having a diploma and being an actual jewelry designer, I was aware of all the materials and items that designers work with and hence knew what my character would require. I had the entire kit starting from tracing paper, pencils, stencils, roofers kept ready for my scene.  My guidance and observations made it quite simple for my team to make my character’s profession seem authentic.”

Adding further, Neha said, “It is easy for me to cope up as well because I have a lot of in-depth knowledge on things like angle, radius and diameter of neck pieces which has helped bring a realistic approach to my act. Had I been less aware of this profession it would have been quite a challenge to make it seem real for Shubhra especially since she is so passionate about it. I am actually quite excited to see myself as designer on-screen because it’s been a really long time since I have focused on designing a piece. It requires months and months of work and usually I am unable to take out that kind of time. When it comes to designing for family and friends, I do approve a couple of designs but otherwise I have a team in place to manage this for me. So, you can imagine how nostalgic and amazing I felt sitting with those stencils and compass, tracing designs across papers. Moreover, wearing some of my own designs was the most proud and exciting experience for me. It feels great when your hobby helps you earn and what’s real for you becomes a part of your reel life too.”

After revealing her real connection with this profession, Neha gifted one of her designs to Sapna Thakur while also offering the makers to let her character wear some of the pieces. In fact, her knowledge and understanding of the subject has helped the makers currently shape Shubhra’s character in a better manner. As for Neha, she couldn’t have been more excited to be connected to her real life passion in reel life too.
