School slapping incident should shake UP govt conscience: SC

The Supreme Court criticized the Uttar Pradesh police for not invoking relevant provisions of law in the Muzaffarnagar incident, where a schoolboy was allegedly slapped by his classmates on the instruction of a teacher because of his religion.
