Para Asiad: Ex-banker bags two golds, mason's daughter wins silver
Two differently abled athletes from western Uttar Pradesh have achieved success at the Asian Para Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China. Ankur Dhama, who is visually impaired, won two gold medals in the 5,000m and 1,500m events. Zainab Khatoon, who is paralysed below the waist, won a silver medal in women's 61kg powerlifting. Ankur lost his vision at the age of seven due to an infection, while Zainab was partially paralysed at the age of six. Both athletes overcame their challenges through hard work and determination.
