The Billboard Music Awards took place on Sunday May 23, 2021. The Awards Gala was hosted by Nick Jonas and was graced by several celebrities from the world of music. The Weeknd swept 10 awards including Top Artist. Pop Smoke won 5 awards. BTS and Bad Bunny each bagged four awards. Pink accepted the Icon Award whereas Trae Tha Truth was honoured with the Change Maker Award, and Drake received the Artist of the Decade Award. The awards were based on the Billboard charts starting from March 21, 2020, through April 3, 2021.
