Sonu Sood has been at the forefront in the past year when it came to helping people amid the COVID crisis in India. The lakhs of people who have received help from the actor over the year have expressed gratitude to him in different ways. Several fans also showered his poster with milk.
Recently, videos of fans bathing Sonu's king-size poster in milk went viral. Reacting to one of the clips, Sonu asked people to not waste milk. "Humbled. Request everyone to save milk for someone needy,” he tweeted.

In an earlier interview, he had requested people to not use milk and other expensive stuff while thanking him. “These are very tough times. Every morsel of food and every drop of milk counts. The nation is suffering. We are all trying to help in our ways. So I’d urge my fans to not use milk and other expensive items to show their appreciation. Your love reaches out to me anyway. You don’t have to show it. Use that resource to help the needy,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sonu Sood has also set up oxygen plants in the rural areas of Andhra Pradesh as part of his initiative to set up plants in various parts of India. “This is the need of the hour to improve the health care, especially in the rural areas. I feel these plants will help the needy people to fight Covid -19 bravely. After Andhra Pradesh, we will be setting few more plants in few more other states between June & July. Right now, we are identifying the needy hospitals of various states,” he had said in a statement.
