Actor Sushmita Sen created history in 1994 when she was crowned the Miss Universe, making her the first Indian woman to win the title. Today marks 27 years of her victory. Fans of the actor have been celebrating this milestone on social media by sharing throwback pictures of Sen from the memorable day.
Sushmita Sen, too, took to her social media handle and shared a throwback picture of herself from her Miss Universe days. Sharing a picture of herself dressd in a gown, Sushmita wrote, “To my Motherland INDIA...Happy 27th Anniversary of India’s first ever victory at #MissUniverse in Manila #Philippines That early morning of 21st May 1994, not only changed an 18 yr olds life forever...it made History!! An honour forever cherished!! #MissUniverse1994”.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sushmita Sen made a comeback in 2020 with the web series titled Aarya in which she played the titular role. After the success of the series, the actress started shooting for season 2 earlier this year.
